01
1. Choose a currently available service
Sign in or register, then open Online Tailor in the app. Browse garment categories and select the exact work you need. Only the services currently listed are available for online purchase; ask us about anything else before posting.
02
2. Give clear instructions
Read the service description and select the requested instruction type. “Shorten by” is the amount to remove; “finished measurement” is the final size you want. State inches or centimetres, add any relevant notes and include reference photos where helpful.
03
3. Check your total and return address
The checkout shows the tailoring price and a separate return-delivery charge. Supply your return address, check your postcode and review the total before paying. The postage you pay to send the garment to us is additional.
04
4. Pack and post your garment
Wait for the order confirmation and use the destination shown there. Pack clean, dry garments securely, include the order number and keep your postage receipt and tracking details. Do not send an unconfirmed repair or a garment that needs a fitting.
05
5. Follow progress in your account
Your order appears in MyTailors after it has been created and linked to your account. Check the updates recorded by the tailor. Ask about the expected work and delivery times before ordering if you need the garment for a particular date.
06
When to speak to a tailor first
Contact us about delicate materials, extensive resizing, wedding garments or an uncertain measurement. A photograph can help explain the request, but some work needs a physical assessment or a fitting at our Manchester shop.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few useful answers.
Why can’t I see Online Tailor services?
Online Tailor is available when your shop enables it and publishes services. If the option is missing, contact the shop to ask what is available.
Who pays for postage?
You arrange and pay for postage to the shop. The online checkout adds the displayed return-delivery charge to the tailoring service price; check the total before paying.
How long do postal alterations take?
The timing depends on the work, the shop’s workload and postage in both directions. Contact us before ordering if you have a deadline. A postal order is not a same-day delivery promise.
Do you serve Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Yes, our focus is UK-wide postal tailoring, including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Confirm the service and delivery arrangements for your postcode before posting.
